James Branigan and Phil Bischoff continue teaching as faculty for the Practising Law Institute(PLI).  In a role that Jim began almost twelve years ago, they continue to educate attorneys about the insurance issues that airse with respect to real estate transactions.

In their most recent course, entitled "Insurance in Difficult Times", they provde the course attendees valuable information about the many insurance issues that arise for real esate risks in a distressed market.  Topics such as: What to look our for when evaluating renewal certificates of insurance.  How to go about obtaining insurance for an asset that has been foreclosed. Potential pitfalls to watch out for when considering a forclosure of an active construction project.  Issues to look for when handling surety bonds and Subguard policies.

This course, offered in three venues by the Institute, has been well received by attendees.
